I added this. Replies are green (until I get a better color scheme going). There is also a button to toggle them on/off.

There is one feature i want on twitter and that is TWEET organization. I will use facebook as an example. When someone posts an update there is a comment section where people can post comments relating to that post. I find it frustrating that I have scroll down to find out what was said. Recently, twitter introduced the button "view conversation" which is slightly helpful. Now i know twitter would no want to totally mimic facebook but there is way around it. For a every reply tweet, the main tweet is updated to indicate someone replied to that tweet and the number of tweets under it.. This will make it possible for people to be able to view all tweets under one conversation and the people involved.

Nice !
There are good ideas in your application.
The readability can be improved (font family, font-size, line-height...).

I'll try it for a couple of days!

The API tells me if the tweet is in reply to another tweet, so yes, I guess I could! Good idea - I'll add.

Way to go Greg! This is exactly how we should build our ideas. Most of the time we tend to be bothered by the fact that our ideas might no be used, worth doing or even not well thought. This is all wrong. I love how you where are able to see something useful, maintained the purpose and executed it right away. This actions are not easy and takes some skills. I love it! Good job!
Couldnt agree more. We are also saving about 50% vs a local datacenter

The big plus is we have better scaling than anyone could offer with CloudFront, you just pay the costs of your use. Our CloudFront cluster scales from 2 small to 50 small instances, all based on CPU % though you can setup custom alerts/scaling too. Since most of the time we have 4 instances going, we use 4 reserves and pay ondemand when it scales up. 50 is just a high cap, most of our spikes go up to 8-10 before it dies down again. We just have to monitor our avg use to see when we should add more reserved instances

These are all self updating servers too, when a server boots and is added to cloudfront, the cloud-init script will checkout our code from github and then signal it is ready to be used in the cluster

AWS has been a really epic experience.

Right now the only time I don't recommend it is for small time guys. Like someone running a blog or such that really doesnt see that much traffic. A cheap bluehost setup is better suited (esp since those guy typically dont make much money)

Hi,

Interesting post...unfortunately I have some doubts about taking advantage of the phonegap api as the javascript file is different for each plateform. Meaning that, in cross plateform developement you would have to identify the device to link the good javascript file.

What do you think?
