Intelligent Enterprise: Adobe one of the 12 companies that will matter the most to the intelligent enterprise in 2008!
Excerpt - “Adobe is the key company to watch in the race toward mastery of RIA/Web 2.0 development. Having acquired Macromedia and assimilated its technologies, Adobe has a strongly positioned client (Flash) on millions of computers, a corps of evolving development tools (Flex, AIR, ColdFusion) and an apparent willingness to embrace open-source approaches.”
For me personally, this is a nice win. Many of us have known for a long time that Adobe has a great set of technologies to make a real difference in enterprise applications. It’s nice to see it being acknowledged. I’m sure we’ll see more of this type of credit soon! Lots of cool stuff coming!

Oh – and by the way – a little company named eBay is thinking about Adobe and RIA … They have launched a contest for the coolest Adobe Flash widget built on Flash or Flex. The prize is $10,000. More info at http://ebay.promotionexpert.com/widget_build_off_contest/comingsoon.html
