LiveCycle ES and Components
One of the greatest features of LiveCycle ES is it’s extendability. Although the product ships with tons of components for common things such as rendering a form, calling a web service, routing for approval, etc., it is possible to create your own components.
Avoka Technologies, an Adobe partner in Australia, has really taken advantage of this capability by building and selling their own collection of LiveCycle components. I think this is a great example of what is possible. These guys are LiveCycle gurus and completely understand the potential.
